AD Ports Group acquires Germany’s MBS Logistics for €70M

AD Ports Group has signed an agreement to acquire Germany-based MBS Logistics for an enterprise value of AED 300 million (€70 million), further expanding its global logistics platform and European footprint.

The deal includes 100% ownership of MBS Logistics’ core business, excluding its joint ventures. The acquisition supports AD Ports Group’s strategy to grow operational scale, handle larger cargo volumes, and strengthen its international logistics network.

MBS Logistics generated AED 870 million (€205 million) in revenue in 2025. The company operates an asset-light freight forwarding model with strong operations in Germany and Central Europe, alongside networks in China, Vietnam, and the United States.

The acquisition will strengthen Noatum Logistics, the logistics arm of AD Ports Group, by expanding access to major Central European logistics corridors and increasing Europe-Asia and Trans-Pacific trade connectivity.

Jochen Thewes said the acquisition provides immediate access to key logistics hubs and strengthens the Group’s ability to compete for major global accounts.

MBS Logistics brings nearly 40 years of industry experience, with 26 offices worldwide and more than 450 employees. Its services include air, ocean, road and rail freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs services, project cargo and time-critical multimodal transport solutions.

The company serves sectors including aerospace, automotive, retail, e-commerce, engineering, healthcare, FMCG and technology.

The acquisition also expands AD Ports Group’s presence in Germany, Europe’s largest trading economy, while strengthening access to the Nordics, BENELUX, Switzerland and Eastern Europe.

The transaction remains subject to EU regulatory approvals and is expected to close during the second half of 2026.
